After a couple of months buried deep on the Council website › Kingston’s Climate Emergency Declaration has at last been announced on a more public page › as well as on some climate emergency websites; and tackling the climate emergency is now a new section on the Council website › Council officers are currently working out its implications across the board, we are told.
The Climate Emergency Declaration was on the Council's Environment and Sustainable Transport agenda on 25 June 2019, and was passed - see the decision at https://moderngov.kingston.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=660&MId=8815&fbclid=IwAR0RYtlSK3MkAZivv_Iky-RiLHjWkLLsf0rYLnre9JKUZiKqeGxS34oYHqk.
Thank you to everyone, especially Cllr Hilary Gander and everyone who signed our letter supporting the Declaration, who helped to make this happen. Let's hope it leads to some significant actions very soon!
