Funding - sources to explore for green projects

  • Kingston Giving supports local charities and volunteer organisations that address inequalities across Kingston upon Thames. By working together, we help create opportunities for those that are most in need. Find out how they could help your local organisation.
  • Veolia's Sustainability Fund
  • Bupa Foundation Green Community Grants - Groundwork
  • Don’t miss funding opportunities for your green group: got a good idea for a new green project or for improvements to an existing one? Keep an eye on Kingston Voluntary Action’s Funding page and regular Funding bulletins.
  • Bank accounts and funds for community groups - see a useful website guide on funding, bank accounts etc for charities and community groups
  • Funding to tackle climate change: Kingston Council has compiled a list of funding opportunities which could help individuals, community groups and organisations to make changes and take action to tackle climate change. Click here to find out more and to check for updates and eligibility.
  •  Green Grants UK for advice on whether your home qualifies for a grant.
  • The National Lottery Climate Action Fund – Our Shared Future
  • AHF Transforming Heritage - grants for historical buildings
  • Local green groups should join Kingston Environment Forum  to get regular updates about funding for local green activities.
  • Fundraise for your local good cause: use the Kingston Community Lottery. In the last 12 months good causes participating raised together over £13,000. To get support, please look at the website or use direct telephone contact at 02081 830105,
  • Community grants for neighbourhood initiatives: Kingston Council's Neighbourhood Community Grants Programme allows community and voluntary sector groups to apply for funding for projects in their neighbourhood or throughout the borough. Applications can be submitted throughout the year, rather than groups needing to apply by a specific deadline. Find out more.
