Kingston Permaculture Reserve at Knollmead open days

Last Sunday, every month, 11.30am - 5.00pm, Knollmead, Tolworth

This site was designed over 20 years ago using the Permaculture philosophy of combining gardening and nature conservation. It is a beautiful mature garden which is a pleasure to be in even if you just come for the tea break  and to explore the forest garden! Please wear stout footwear and protective clothing. This site is uneven underfoot and the bramble thorns vicious!
Directions to Kingston Permaculture Reserve: at Tolworth roundabout turn into Barnsbury Lane, then right at Hazel Bank, left at Alpine Avenue and follow signs for Knollmead Primary School. Leave vehicle on the road and walk into allotment site. Keep to the right, Turn right at T-junction (compost bins made of pallets)  and the site is at the end of the track through our woven gate. Please avoid driving on site.

Find out more about KPR and keep in touch via http://www.projectdirt.com/project/7485/ or facebook group "kpr at knollmead".

From the Ground Up organic food scheme

Weekly, order online, collect on Saturday mornings from venues in either Kingston or Surbiton

From the Ground Up (FGU) is Kingston's only local organic food scheme with the mission of selling local, organic food at affordable prices to our communities. Volunteer-led, FGU is a not-for-profit community group that does not require you to buy a box. Items are purchased through our online shop and food is collected on Saturday mornings. For more information, please go to our website.

Stitching

Various venues and times

Regretfully, TTK's Stitch in Time sociable sewing sessions are cancelled until there is more evidence of demand, as we held several monthly Tuesday morning workshops in 2014 with very few or no takers. We think that, with several other local sewing groups starting up since we began several years ago (see below for a couple)  and many excellent "How to..." videos on YouTube, there may no longer be a need for our services. If anyone reading this would like to try something similar, perhaps at a different time or place or with a different emphasis (ours was always on sharing skills and making do and mending), do please contact Marilyn to see if we can help in any way or hand on some of our kit.

There are fortnightly "Stitch and Chat" sessions at Kingston Environment Centre  - anyone who would like to join can email pat@ecotrade.demon.co.uk.

weekly Make Do and Mend sewing and craft sessions at Ham Library on Tuesday mornings, 10.00-12.00.
