Saturdays 6th, 20th, & 27th February, 10.00am – 1.00pm (or earlier), Kingston Environment Centre, Fountain Roundabout, New Malden
Final workshop coming up on Saturday 27th
Is your home too cold and are your energy bills too high this winter – and do you want to do something about it? To help you, Transition Town Kingston Energy Group is running a series of Saturday morning workshops in February, covering insulation, draught-proofing and ventilation, and other energy-saving tips.
The workshops start on 6th February with cheap and easy home improvements that anyone can undertake, followed on 20th February by bigger, more costly improvements, and finishing on 27th Saturday with major tasks for the seriously keen and green. Each session will cover a range of improvements: insulation (heating inside your home, not outside); minding the gaps (draught-proofing, ventilation, and why you need both); and other energy tips (from cooking economically to keeping cool in summer). All the workshops are flexible and will try to address the energy-efficiency problems that you bring along.
You can dip in and out of the workshops according to your needs and interests. Bring notebooks, your problems and questions, and be prepared to share ideas and information and to act on advice – we can all learn and do something!
Biscuits and hot drinks provided, donations towards venue hire welcome. Contact Peter Mason to reserve your place at any workshop or all of them.
